⚗️ Composition (g/L)

  • Tryptone – 5.0 g

  • Glucose – 1.0 g

  • Yeast Extract – 3.0 g

  • Agar – 15.0 g

Final pH: 7.0 ± 0.2 (25 °C)


🧫 Preparation Instructions

  1. Suspend 24.0 g of powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water

  2. Heat to boiling for 1 minute until completely dissolved

  3. Dispense into suitable containers

  4. Sterilize at 121 °C for 15 minutes or 115 °C for 30 minutes

  5. Cool and use as required

🔹 If antibiotics are required, sterilize the medium first and add them aseptically after cooling to approximately 50 °C.
