Stuart Transport Medium with Carbon is a dehydrated, semi-solid transport medium designed for the collection, transport, and short-term preservation of pathogenic bacterial specimens.

The inclusion of activated carbon helps absorb toxic metabolic by-products and inhibitory substances, improving microorganism survival during specimen transport. This formulation is suitable for maintaining the viability of fastidious and sensitive pathogens prior to laboratory analysis.
