Amies Transport Medium with Charcoal Powder
Amies Transport Medium with Charcoal is a dehydrated, semi-solid transport medium designed for the collection, transport, and short-term preservation of pathogenic microorganism specimens.
The inclusion of neutral activated charcoal helps absorb toxic metabolic by-products and inhibitory substances, improving the survival of fastidious organisms during transport from sampling sites to microbiology laboratories.
🔬 Intended Use
Collection of pathogenic microorganism specimens
Transport and preservation of clinical and environmental samples
Maintenance of microbial viability during transport
