YPGA Medium – 250g for Cane Smut Fungus Testing

YPGA Medium is designed for Cane Smut Fungus testing, composed of Yeast Extract, Peptone, and Glucose, which provide optimal conditions for fungal growth. This medium is specifically formulated to ensure accurate cultivation and detection of the Cane Smut Fungus.

Formulation (Per Liter of Medium):

• Yeast Extract: 5.0g

• Peptone: 10.0g

• Glucose: 20.0g

• Agar: 15.0g

• pH: 7.2 ± 0.2 (at 25°C)

Usage Instructions:

1. Dissolve YPGA Medium (65.0g) in 1L of distilled or deionized water.

2. Heat and stir the mixture to boiling, maintaining for 1 minute until the agar fully dissolves.

3. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

4. Shake well after sterilization, pour into plates, and allow the medium to solidify. Store for use.
