YDC Medium – 250g for Cane Smut Fungus Testing

YDC Medium is specifically designed for Cane Smut Fungus testing. This medium contains Yeast Extract, Calcium Carbonate, and Glucose, which create optimal conditions for the growth of Cane Smut Fungus, providing accurate results for testing and detection.

Formulation (Per Liter of Medium):

• Yeast Extract: 10.0g

• Calcium Carbonate: 20.0g

• Glucose (D-Glucose): 20.0g

• Agar: 15.0g

• pH: 7.2 ± 0.2 (at 25°C)

Usage Instructions:

1. Dissolve YDC Medium (65.0g) in 1L of distilled or deionized water.

2. Heat and stir the mixture to boiling, maintaining for 1 minute to ensure complete agar dissolution.

3. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

4. Shake well after sterilization, pour into plates, and allow the medium to solidify. Store for use.
