Vitamin B12 Assay Broth is a specialized microbiological medium formulated for the quantitative determination of Vitamin B12. Its carefully balanced composition provides essential nutrients while excluding Vitamin B12, making it suitable for assay systems in microbiology and biochemical analysis.

• Vitamin-free Acid Hydrolyzed Casein: 15.0 g

• Glucose: 40.0 g

• Asparagine: 0.2 g

• Sodium Acetate: 20.0 g

• Ascorbic Acid: 4.0 g

• L-Cystine: 0.4 g

• DL-Tryptophan: 0.4 g

• Adenine Sulfate: 0.02 g

• Guanine Hydrochloride: 0.02 g

• Uracil: 0.02 g

• Xanthine: 0.02 g

• Riboflavin: 1.0 mg

• Thiamine Hydrochloride: 1.0 mg

• Biotin: 10.0 µg

• Nicotinic Acid: 2.0 mg

• p-Aminobenzoic Acid: 2.0 mg

• Calcium Pantothenate: 1.0 mg

• Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: 4.0 mg

• Pyridoxal Hydrochloride: 4.0 mg

Instructions for Use:

1. Dissolve 8.46 g of medium in 100 ml of distilled or deionized water.

2. Heat to boiling for 2–3 minutes until fully dissolved.

3. Cool, mix, and dispense as required.

4. Note: Due to the presence of Tween 80, slight clumping may occur, but it does not affect performance.
