SOC Medium is a high-quality microbiological medium designed for cultivating genetically engineered Escherichia coli.

Composition per liter:

• Tryptone: 20.0g

• Yeast Extract: 5.0g

• Sodium Chloride: 0.5g

• Potassium Chloride: 0.186g

• Magnesium Chloride: 0.95g

• Magnesium Sulfate: 1.2g

• Dextrose: 3.6g

• pH: 7.0 ± 0.2 (25°C)

Preparation: Dissolve 31.4g in 1L distilled or deionized water, heat and boil until fully dissolved, sterilize at 116°C for 30 minutes, and cool before use.

SOC Medium provides optimal conditions for the growth and recovery of recombinant E. coli in laboratory experiments.
