Application: Used for fungal kill tests, fungal culture, and total fungal count determination.

Formula (per liter):

• Peptone – 10.0 g

• Dextrose – 40.0 g

• Agar – 20.0 g

• Final pH: 5.6 ± 0.2 (at 25°C)

Preparation Instructions:
Dissolve 70.0 g of the powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water. Heat to boiling until fully dissolved, dispense, and sterilize by autoclaving at 115°C for 30 minutes. Mix well after sterilization to prevent agar sedimentation. Medium is ready for use.

Optional: After sterilization and cooling to around 50°C, add 1 vial of chloramphenicol (10 mg/100 mL) under aseptic conditions if needed.
