Routine Agar – 250g | General Purpose Medium for Bacterial Purification

Routine Agar is a general-purpose culture medium designed for purification and maintenance of bacterial cultures, including pathogenic Aeromonas hydrophila strains.

Key Applications:

✔️ Purification of isolated bacterial strains

✔️ Subculturing of A. hydrophila from selective media

✔️ Culture maintenance and stock preparation

✔️ Biomass production for biochemical testing

Standard Formulation (Per Liter):

– Peptone: 10.0g

– Beef Extract: 3.0g

– Sodium Chloride: 5.0g

– Monopotassium Phosphate: 1.0g

– Agar: 15.0g

pH 7.6 ± 0.2 (25°C)

Protocol:

1️⃣ Suspend 34.0g in 1L water

2️⃣ Boil to dissolve

3️⃣ Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes

4️⃣ Swirl before pouring plates
