Application

RCVBN Medium is designed for the cultivation of photosynthetic bacteria. It provides a balanced nutrient formulation for reliable microbial growth in laboratory studies and research applications.

Composition (per liter)

• DL-Malic acid – 4.0 g

• (NH4)2SO4 – 1.0 g

• KH2PO4 – 1.36 g

• K2HPO4·3H2O – 1.24 g

• EDTA – 0.02 g

• MgSO4·7H2O – 0.12 g

• CaCl2·2H2O – 0.075 g

• Vitamin B1 – 0.001 g

• Niacin – 0.001 g

• Biotin – 0.000015 g

• H3BO3 – 0.0028 g

• ZnSO4·7H2O – 0.00024 g

• MnSO4·H2O – 0.0016 g

• Cu(NO3)2·3H2O – 0.00004 g

• Na2MoO4·2H2O – 0.00075 g

Instructions for Use

1. Dissolve 7.82 g of the medium in 1 L of distilled or deionized water.

2. Heat until fully dissolved.

3. Cool to 25℃ and adjust pH to 6.8–7.0 using NaOH solution.

4. Dispense into containers and sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes.

5. Medium is ready for use.
