Medium Composition

Peptone — 5.0 g
Beef Extract — 3.0 g
Glucose — 5.0 g
Sodium Chloride — 5.0 g
Agar — 15.0 g
Final pH: 7.0 ± 0.2 (25°C)
Directions for Use
- Suspend 33.0 g of the medium in 1 liter of 50% seawater solution.
- Heat and boil until the medium is completely dissolved.
- Dispense into suitable containers.
- Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes or 115°C for 30 minutes.
- Mix well after sterilization to prevent agar from settling at the bottom of the container.
- Allow the medium to cool and pour into sterile petri dishes if agar plates are required.
