MSM Medium | Minimal Salt Medium for Bacterial Degradation Studies | 250g

MSM Medium is a minimal salt medium used for studying bacterial degradation of specific carbon sources or isolating bacteria with degradation ability.

Composition (per liter):

• Na2HPO4·2H2O 3.5g

• KH2PO4 1.0g

• (NH4)2SO4 0.5g

• MgCl2·6H2O 0.1g

• Ca salt 0.05g

• pH 7.0±0.2

Preparation:
Dissolve 5.15g in 1L distilled or deionized water, stir to dissolve. Add 1ml trace elements solution (SL-4). Adjust pH to 7.25 using NaOH or HCl. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. Ready for use.

Packaging: 250g per bottle, shelf stable at room temperature for 3 years.
Note: Medium may contain minor insoluble particles and may cake, which does not affect performance.
