Modified Stuart Transport Medium is a dehydrated, semi-solid transport medium formulated for the collection, transport, and short-term preservation of pathogenic bacterial specimens.
This modified formulation contains methylene blue and does not contain activated carbon, allowing visual monitoring of redox conditions while maintaining microorganism viability during transport. It is suitable for routine microbiological specimen handling prior to laboratory examination.

🧫 Preparation Instructions
Dissolve 16.1 g of powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water
Heat to boiling until completely dissolved
Dispense into sterile tubes or containers
Sterilize at 121 °C for 15 minutes
Allow to cool and solidify before use
