Key Ingredients (per liter):

• Pancreatic Digest of Casein (10.0g): Supplies peptides and amino acids for bacterial growth.

• Proteose Peptone (10.0g): Provides additional nutrients to support selective bacterial proliferation.

• Dipotassium Phosphate (4.0g): Acts as a buffering agent to maintain stable pH.

• Dextrose (1.0g) and Saccharose (200.0g): Serve as carbon sources for bacterial metabolism.

• Trypan Blue (75mg) and Crystal Violet (0.8mg): Selective agents to inhibit non-target organisms.

• Agar (15.0g): Solidifying agent.

pH: 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C

Usage Instructions:
Dissolve 240g of MSBA base in 1L of distilled or deionized water, boil until fully dissolved, then sterilize at 121°C for 15 minutes. After sterilization, shake well to prevent agar deposition at the bottom. Cool to 50–55°C under sterile conditions. For optimal selectivity, add 1 vial of Potassium Tellurite solution (2mg) and 2 vials of Mitis Bacitracin solution (40U) per 200ml medium, mix thoroughly, and pour plates aseptically.
