Selective peptones and yeast extract (nutrient base)
Bile salts and selective inhibitors (suppress competing bacteria)
Ferric citrate and esculin indicator system
Agar – solidifying agent
Final pH: 7.1 ± 0.2 (25℃)
Preparation Instructions:
Suspend the specified amount of dehydrated medium (see label) in 1 liter of distilled or deionized water.
Heat with frequent stirring until completely dissolved.
Dispense into appropriate containers.
Sterilize by autoclaving at 121℃ for 15 minutes.
Cool to room temperature before pouring plates.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
Shelf life: 3 years.
