MacConkey Agar No.2 for Selective Isolation of Enteric Pathogens – 250g
MacConkey Agar No.2 is a differential and selective medium used for the isolation and cultivation of enteric pathogens, particularly those from the Enterobacteriaceae family. This agar is specifically formulated to support the growth of Gram-negative bacteria while inhibiting Gram-positive organisms. It is commonly used in microbiological laboratories for testing food, water, and clinical samples for pathogenic enteric bacteria.
Key Features:
Selective and differential medium for isolating enteric pathogens.
Contains bile salts to inhibit Gram-positive organisms and neutral red for lactose fermentation detection.
High-quality ingredients ensure reliable and accurate results.
