Peptone — 1.0 g
Beef Extract Powder — 0.5 g
Betaine — 1.25 g
Sodium Pyruvate — 1.25 g
Sodium Chloride — 10.0 g
Agar — 12.0 g
Final pH: 7.2 ± 0.2 (25°C)
Directions for Use
- Suspend 26.0 g of the medium in 1 liter of distilled or deionized water.
- Heat and maintain boiling for at least 1 minute until completely dissolved.
- Dispense into suitable containers.
- Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
- Allow the medium to cool before pouring plates if agar plates are required.
Antibiotics may be added if increased selectivity is required.
