Preparation Instructions

  1. Weigh 35.0 g of the medium powder.
  2. Dissolve in 1000 mL distilled or deionized water.
  3. Heat and boil for 1 minute until completely dissolved.
  4. Pour into sterile Petri dishes and allow to solidify before use.

Important Notes

  • This medium must not be autoclaved.
  • Due to the relatively high magnesium sulfate content, granular insoluble particles may appear after boiling. This is normal; mix well before pouring plates.
