Medium Composition (per liter)

  • Peptone Milk – 15.0 g

  • Yeast Extract – 5.0 g

  • Glucose – 10.0 g

  • Tomato Juice Powder (equivalent to 100 ml tomato juice) – 2.5 g

  • Monopotassium Phosphate – 2.0 g

  • Polysorbate 80 – 1.0 g

  • pH: 6.8 ± 0.2 (25℃)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Dissolve 35.5 g of the medium in 1 liter of distilled or deionized water.

  2. Heat gently until fully dissolved.

  3. Dispense into test tubes or other vessels.

  4. Sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes.

  5. Cool and store appropriately.

Notes

  • The medium is opaque due to insoluble components from tomato juice powder.

  • Polysorbate 80 may cause the powder to be slightly moist and prone to clumping, but this does not affect usability.
