How to Use:​

  1. Prepare a smear: Place 1-3 drops of lactic-phenol solution in the center of a slide.​

  1. Using a sterile inoculating loop or dissecting needle, take a small amount of mycelium with spores from the edge of a mold colony, place it in the solution, and disperse the mycelium to ensure even distribution.​

  1. Cover with a clean coverslip, press gently to make a flattened preparation, taking care to avoid air bubbles.​

  1. Let stand for 3-5 minutes, then observe fungal morphology using a light microscope under low, high, or oil immersion magnification.
