HP Medium Base for Hymenobacter Isolation – Microbiological Culture Medium, 500g

HP Medium Base is a powder microbiological culture medium designed for the isolation and cultivation of Hymenobacter species. Supplied in 500g bottles, this medium requires supplementation with 10% glucose solution and tetracycline solution. The powder is slightly hygroscopic and may clump.

Composition (per liter):

• Pancreatic digest of soybean meal 10.0g

• Beef Extract 10.0g

• Yeast extract 6.0g

• Ammonium citrate 5.0g

• MgSO₄·7H₂O 0.2g

• MnSO₄·4H₂O 0.05g

• FeSO₄·7H₂O 0.04g

• Tween 80 0.5g

• pH 7.2 ± 0.2 (25°C)

Preparation Instructions:
Dissolve 31.8g of powder in 1L distilled or deionized water, heat and boil for at least 1 minute until fully dissolved, then sterilize at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to below 50°C. For each 100ml of medium, add 1ml of 10% glucose solution and 0.1g tetracycline solution. Mix well before use.
