Hottinges Agar Base for Enhanced Pathogen Isolation
Specialized medium for isolation of fastidious pathogens. Optional supplementation with 0.1% sterile lysed blood (sheep/rabbit) may be added post-sterilization to optimize growth conditions.

• Preparation: 40.0g/L distilled water

• Sterilization: 121°C for 15 minutes

Protocol:

1. Suspend 40.0g in 1L water, boil to dissolve

2. Sterilize and cool to 50°C

3. Optional: Add 0.1% lysed blood

4. Mix and pour plates
