Helicobacter Pylori Broth Medium Base – 250g for Selective Enrichment of Helicobacter Pylori

Helicobacter Pylori Broth Medium Base is specifically designed for the selective enrichment of Helicobacter pylori. It is essential for the growth and cultivation of this bacterium for research and diagnostic applications. The medium contains a mix of essential nutrients, including casein digest, peptic digest of animal tissue, yeast extract, and beef extract. To complete the medium, Helicobacter pylori selective additives and sterile horse blood lysate must be added.

Formulation (Per Liter of Medium):

• Pancreatic Digest of Casein: 12.0g

• Peptic Digest of Animal Tissue: 5.0g

• Yeast Extract: 3.0g

• Beef Extract: 3.0g

• Corn Starch: 1.0g

• Sodium Chloride: 5.0g

• pH: 7.3 ± 0.2 (25°C)

Usage Instructions:

1. Dissolve 2.9g of the Helicobacter pylori Broth Medium Base in 93ml of distilled or deionized water.

2. Heat the mixture to a boil and stir until completely dissolved.

3. Sterilize the solution by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.

4. After sterilization, allow the medium to cool to 50°C.

5. Add 7ml sterile horse blood lysate and 1 vial of Helicobacter pylori selective additive for each 93ml of the medium.

6. Mix gently and use as required.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the container is tightly sealed to maintain sterility.
