Application:
Gauze’s Synthetic Agar Medium is used for the cultivation of actinomycetes.

Composition per liter:

• Soluble Starch 20.0g

• Potassium Nitrate 1.0g

• Dipotassium Phosphate 0.5g

• Magnesium Sulfate 0.5g

• Ferrous Sulfate 0.01g

• Sodium Chloride 0.5g

• Agar 15.0g

• pH 7.3 ± 0.1 (25℃)

Instructions for use:
Dissolve 37.5g of the medium in 1L of distilled or deionized water by boiling for 1 minute. Adjust the volume to 1000ml, distribute into containers, and sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes. Shake well after sterilization to prevent agar settling. Cool to 55℃, and if necessary, add 1ml of 3% potassium dichromate solution per 300ml medium to enhance selectivity. Mix thoroughly and pour into plates for use.
