Gauze’s Fluid Medium No.2, Modified – Liquid Medium for Actinomycete Cultivation, 250g

Gauze’s Fluid Medium No.2, Modified is a specialized liquid culture medium developed for the cultivation of actinomycetes. Its formulation provides essential nitrogen, carbon, and growth factors, including multiple vitamins, to promote optimal growth and differentiation of actinomycetes in microbiological research.

Complete Formula (per liter):

• Sodium Chloride (NaCl): 0.5 g

• Tryptone: 0.3 g

• Glucose: 1.0 g

• Peptone: 0.5 g

• Vitamin B1 (Thiamine): 0.5 mg

• Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin): 0.5 mg

• Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine): 0.5 mg

• Nicotinic Acid: 0.5 mg

• Inositol: 0.5 mg

• Pantothenic Acid: 0.5 mg

• Biotin: 0.25 mg

• p-Aminobenzoic Acid: 0.5 mg

• Final pH: 7.2 ± 0.2 at 25°C

Instructions for Use:

1. Weigh 2.3 g of the medium and suspend in 1 liter of distilled or deionized water.

2. Warm gently to dissolve completely.

3. Dispense into suitable containers.

4. Sterilize at 121°C for 15 minutes.

5. Mix gently after sterilization and use as required.

Note: The medium may clump during storage, but this does not affect product performance.
