Drosophila Medium is designed specifically for the optimal growth and breeding of Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies) in laboratory conditions. Instructions for Use:
Weigh 20.87g of Drosophila Medium for every 100ml of distilled water.
Stir and heat gently for 1 minute to dissolve, noting foam formation.
Top up with water as necessary and allow to cool slightly.
Add 0.65ml of propionic acid and mix thoroughly.
Pour the medium while still warm into sterilized culture bottles.
Let it solidify and store for use.
