
Dnase Test Agar Powder for Ribonuclease Detection
Dnase Test Agar is a dehydrated culture medium used in nuclease testing.
It is provided as a dry powder, packaged in 100g bottles, with a shelf life of 3 years at room temperature.
Composition per liter:
Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA): 2.0 g
Pancreatic Digest of Casein: 15.0 g
Papaic Digest of Soybean Meal: 5.0 g
Sodium Chloride: 5.0 g
Agar: 15.0 g
Final pH: 7.3 ± 0.2 (at 25°C)
Preparation:
Suspend 42.0 g of the powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water. Heat to boiling until completely dissolved, dispense, and sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Mix well after sterilization to prevent agar sedimentation.
After inoculation, incubate at 35°C for 18–24 hours before further testing.
