DCLS Agar (Deoxycholate Citrate Lactose Sucrose Agar) is a selective and differential culture medium designed for the isolation of Salmonella and Shigella species from clinical, food, and environmental samples.

The medium contains sodium deoxycholate and sodium citrate to inhibit Gram-positive and many Gram-negative bacteria, while lactose and sucrose allow differentiation of fermenting and non-fermenting organisms. Neutral Red serves as a pH indicator for colony differentiation.
