Product Overview:
Czapek Dox Broth is a liquid microbiological medium widely used for the cultivation of fungi. It provides sucrose as the main carbon source and inorganic salts as nitrogen and mineral sources, creating an effective environment for fungal growth and research applications. It is commonly used in fungal culture, microbiological studies, and laboratory quality control.

Composition (per liter):

  • Sodium Nitrate: 3.0g

  • Dipotassium Phosphate: 1.0g

  • Magnesium Sulfate: 0.5g

  • Potassium Chloride: 0.5g

  • Ferrous Sulfate: 0.01g

  • Sucrose: 30.0g

  • pH 7.3 ± 0.2 (at 25℃)

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Weigh 35.0g of the medium and suspend in 1L of distilled or deionized water.

  2. Heat to boiling until completely dissolved.

  3. Dispense into appropriate containers.

  4. Sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes.

  5. Note: The broth may appear slightly turbid after preparation, which is normal.
