Product Application:
Chromogenic Cronobacter Isolation Medium (CCI) is designed for the selective isolation and chromogenic differentiation of Cronobacter species. It enables accurate identification through colony color and morphology, suitable for microbiological laboratories, food safety testing, and quality control.

Medium Formula (per liter):

• Tryptone – 15.0 g

• Soy peptone – 5.0 g

• Sodium chloride – 5.0 g

• Ferric ammonium citrate – 1.0 g

• Sodium thiosulfate – 1.0 g

• Sodium deoxycholate – 1.0 g

• 5-Bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-α-D-glucopyranoside – 0.1 g

• Agar – 15.0 g

• pH 7.3 ± 0.2 (25℃)

Instructions for Use:

1. Weigh 4.31 g of the medium and dissolve in 100 ml of distilled or deionized water.

2. Sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes.

3. Cool to approx. 50℃ and pour into plates.

Colony Characteristics:

• Cronobacter spp.: Blue to blue-green colonies

• Escherichia coli: Pale yellow colonies

• Salmonella: Colorless colonies, often with black centers
