ATYP Medium is specifically formulated for the cultivation of photosynthetic bacteria. It provides all the necessary nutrients and trace elements required for the growth of photosynthetic bacteria, including nitrogen, phosphorous, magnesium, and various vitamins. This medium also contains essential minerals and a variety of growth factors to support optimal bacterial proliferation.

Formulation (Per Liter of Medium):

  • Ammonium Chloride: 1.0g

  • Monopotassium Phosphate: 0.5g

  • Magnesium Chloride: 0.5g

  • Calcium Chloride: 0.1g

  • Sodium Chloride: 1.0g

  • Sodium Acetate: 2.0g

  • Sodium Succinate: 1.0g

  • Yeast Extract: 0.5g

  • Peptone: 0.5g

  • Ferrous Chloride: 1.8mg

  • Cobalt Chloride: 0.25mg

  • Nickel Chloride: 0.01mg

  • Copper Chloride: 0.01mg

  • Manganese Chloride: 0.07mg

  • Zinc Chloride: 0.1mg

  • Boric Acid: 0.5mg

  • Sodium Selenite: 0.01mg

  • Sodium Molybdate: 0.01g

  • Biotin: 0.01mg

  • Nicotinic Acid: 0.035mg

  • Calcium Pantothenate: 0.01mg

  • Thiamine Hydrochloride: 0.03mg

  • Vitamin B12: 0.005mg

  • Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: 0.01mg

  • Para-Aminobenzoic Acid: 0.02mg

Usage Instructions:

  1. Dissolve 7.1g of ATYP Medium in 1L of distilled or deionized water.

  2. Heat to warm and dissolve completely.

  3. Adjust pH using NaOH or HCl to achieve a pH of 6.8-7.0 after sterilization (at 25°C).

  4. Sterilize by autoclaving at 115°C for 30 minutes.

  5. After sterilization, allow the medium to cool, and store until use.
