  • Sodium chloride: 3.0 g

  • Sodium hydrogen phosphate: 1.15 g

  • Potassium dihydrogen phosphate: 0.2 g

  • Potassium chloride: 0.2 g

  • Sodium thioglycollate: 1.0 g

  • Calcium chloride: 0.1 g

  • Magnesium chloride: 0.1 g

  • Agar: 7.5 g

Preparation Instructions

  1. Weigh 13.25 g of this medium and add to 1 L of distilled or deionized water.

  2. Heat to boiling until completely dissolved.

  3. Dispense into appropriate containers.

  4. Autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes.

  5. Gently mix while cooling to ensure even distribution, then allow to solidify before use.
