Acetamide Broth Medium – For Pseudomonas aeruginosa Ammonia Production Test, 250g
Acetamide Broth Medium (Acetamide Broth) is a selective biochemical medium used for the ammonia production test of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This medium utilizes acetamide as the sole carbon and nitrogen source, promoting Pseudomonas metabolism while restricting the growth of most other bacteria.
The presence of ferrous sulfate and sodium molybdate allows the detection of ammonia production through metabolic activity, making it a valuable tool for microbial differentiation and biochemical identification.
Complete Formula (per liter):
Monopotassium Phosphate (KH₂PO₄): 1.0 g
Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO₄): 0.2 g
Acetamide: 2.0 g
