Product Overview:
Cetrimide Agar Medium is a selective solid culture medium used for the isolation and cultivation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is widely applied in microbiological analysis of water, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and environmental samples where selective recovery of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is required.
Composition (per liter):
Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin
Magnesium Chloride
Potassium Sulfate
Cetrimide (Cetyltrimethylammonium Bromide)
Agar
(Glycerol is added separately during preparation)
Preparation Instructions:
Suspend 45.3 g of the medium in 1000 mL of purified water.
Heat with stirring until fully dissolved.
Add 10 mL of glycerol and boil briefly to mix thoroughly.
Dispense into suitable containers.
Sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes.
Cool to approximately 50℃ and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
Allow to solidify before use.
Note:
Due to the presence of magnesium chloride, slight precipitation may occur after sterilization. This does not affect performance.
