Product Overview:
Fluid Thioglycollate Medium is a liquid culture medium commonly used for sterility testing. The formulation supports growth of microorganisms under reduced oxygen conditions and is suitable for routine sterility testing procedures in microbiology laboratories.

Composition (per liter):

• Pancreatic Digest of Casein – 15.0 g

• Yeast Extract – 5.0 g

• L-Cystine – 0.5 g

• Sodium Thioglycollate – 0.5 g

• Sodium Chloride – 2.5 g

• Dextrose Anhydrous – 5.0 g

• Agar – 0.75 g

• Resazurin – 0.001 g

• pH 7.1 ± 0.2 (at 25℃)

Preparation Instructions:

1. Suspend 29.25 g of the medium in 1 L of distilled or deionized water.

2. Heat to boiling until completely dissolved.

3. Dispense into suitable containers.

4. Sterilize at 121℃ for 15 minutes or at 115℃ for 30 minutes.

5. Cool rapidly after sterilization.

6. Before inoculation, if the oxidized layer exceeds the specified height, heat in a 100℃ water bath until the pink color disappears, then cool rapidly. Heat only once and avoid contamination.
