Product Overview:
Potato Sucrose Agar (PSA) is a widely used microbiological culture medium designed for the cultivation of fungi. Composition (per liter):
Infusion from potatoes (from 200g peeled potatoes): 7.0g
Sucrose: 20.0g
Agar: 20.0g
Preparation Method:
Dissolve 47.0g of the medium in 1L of distilled or deionized water.
Heat to boiling for 1 minute until fully dissolved.
Dispense into appropriate containers.
Sterilize at 115°C for 30 minutes.
Shake gently after sterilization to prevent agar sedimentation.
Allow to cool before use.
Notes:
This medium appears turbid due to the high potato powder content.
Shake gently before pouring plates to ensure homogeneity.
