Product Application:
Candida Chromogenic Medium is designed for the rapid detection and differentiation of Candida species based on colony color. It provides a reliable and efficient tool for microbiological laboratories and clinical research.

Medium Formula (per liter):

• Peptone – 10.2 g

• Hemin – 0.5 g

• Chromogenic substances – 22.0 g

• Agar – 15.0 g

• pH 6.3 ± 0.2 (25℃)

Instructions for Use:

1. Weigh 4.77 g of the medium and dissolve in 100 ml of distilled or deionized water.

2. Heat to boiling until fully dissolved.

3. Cool to approximately 55℃, pour into plates, and allow to solidify.

4. Store prepared plates for immediate use.

Colony Characteristics (after incubation at 25℃ for 48 hours):

• Candida albicans: Green or blue-green colonies

• Candida tropicalis: Light blue colonies

• Candida glabrata: Purple center with pink edges

• Candida krusei: Purplish-red colonies

• Other Candida species: White colonies
