Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium (CMC) Fluid Medium is designed for the cultivation of cellulose-degrading bacteria.

Composition (per liter)

• Dipotassium phosphate (K2HPO4) 2.5 g

• Disodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HPO4) 2.5 g

• Carboxymethylcellulose sodium 20.0 g

• Peptone 2.0 g

• Yeast extract 0.5 g

• pH 7.2 ± 0.2 (25℃)

Preparation Instructions

1. Dissolve 27.5 g of powder in 1 L distilled or deionized water (adjust proportionally for different volumes).

2. Heat and boil until completely dissolved.

3. Dispense into suitable containers.

4. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121℃ for 15 minutes.

5. Cool to room temperature before use.
