Agrobacterium rhizogenes Medium, also known as YEB Agar, is a specialized microbiological medium designed for the cultivation of Agrobacterium rhizogenes. It provides a balanced combination of peptones, extracts, and sugars to support robust bacterial growth. This medium is ideal for plant biotechnology research, root-inducing Agrobacterium studies, and microbiology laboratories.

Instructions for Use:

  1. Dissolve 31.5g of Agrobacterium rhizogenes Medium in 1L of distilled or deionized water. Adjust proportionally for smaller or larger volumes.

  2. Heat and boil until completely dissolved.

  3. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.

  4. After cooling, shake gently to prevent agar settling.

  5. If required, under sterile conditions, add filtered antibiotic solutions (e.g., Kanamycin 100mg/L).

  6. Pour into plates or dispense into tubes for cultivation.

Storage: Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Shelf life: 3 years.
