SBG Sulfa Enrichment Broth – Modified Selenite Brilliant Green Broth for Salmonella, 250g
SBG Sulfa Enrichment Broth (Modified Selenite Brilliant Green Broth, SBG) is a selective enrichment medium containing sulfapyridine, specifically designed for selective enrichment of Salmonella species from clinical, food, and environmental samples.
The medium combines sodium selenite, brilliant green, and sulfapyridine to inhibit competing flora while promoting the growth of Salmonella. Mannitol serves as a fermentable carbohydrate to support bacterial metabolism.
