Peptone: 15.0 g
Sodium Chloride: 5.0 g
Soluble Starch: 1.0 g
Dipotassium Phosphate: 4.0 g
Monopotassium Phosphate: 1.0 g
Agar: 15.0 g
Final pH: 7.4 ± 0.2 (25℃)
Preparation Instructions
Suspend 41.0 g of the medium in 1 L distilled or deionized water.
Heat to boiling for at least 1 minute until fully dissolved.
Dispense into suitable containers and sterilize by autoclaving at 121℃ for 15 minutes.
Cool to ~55℃, then aseptically add 7 ml sterile defibrinated sheep blood per 100 ml medium.
Mix thoroughly and use as required.
