LAPT Broth is a nutrient-rich medium designed for the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria (LAB). It contains peptone, tryptone, yeast extract, and Tween 80, providing essential nutrients for robust bacterial growth.

Composition (per liter):

  • Peptone – 15.0 g

  • Tryptone – 10.0 g

  • Yeast Extract – 10.0 g

  • Tween 80 – 1.0 g

  • pH 6.5 ± 0.2 (25℃)

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Dissolve 36.0 g of powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water.

  2. Optional: Add selective carbon sources such as glucose, fructose, galactose, lactose, or sucrose as required.

  3. Adjust pH to 6.5 ± 0.2 after supplementation if needed.

  4. Dispense and sterilize at 118℃ for 20 minutes.

  5. Cool and use as needed for LAB cultivation.

Notes:

  • Ideal for enhanced growth of lactic acid bacteria.

  • Contains Tween 80 to facilitate bacterial dispersion.
