Minimal Broth Davis without Dextrose is a microbiological medium for isolating and characterizing nutritional mutants of Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis.

Composition per liter:

• Dipotassium Phosphate: 7.0g

• Monopotassium Phosphate: 2.0g

• Sodium Citrate: 0.5g

• Magnesium Sulfate: 0.1g

• Ammonium Sulfate: 1.0g

• pH: 7.0 ± 0.2 (25°C)

Preparation: Dissolve 10.6g in 1L distilled or deionized water, heat to dissolve, sterilize at 121°C for 15 minutes, and cool. Optional: add 1g glucose per liter if required.

This medium provides a controlled environment for nutrient-limited bacterial strains research and laboratory experiments.
