Halophilic Bacteria Selective Agar is a specialized medium for purifying Vibrio parahaemolyticus from mixed cultures and environmental samples.

Primary Application:

✔️ Purification of halophilic vibrios

✔️ Post-enrichment isolation

✔️ Seafood safety testing

Formula (Per Liter):

– Peptone: 20.0g

– Sodium Chloride: 40.0g

– Crystal Violet: 5.0mg

– Agar: 17.0g

pH 8.7 ± 0.1 (25°C)

Protocol:

1️⃣ Suspend 77.0g in 1L water

2️⃣ Boil ≥1 minute

3️⃣ Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes

4️⃣ Swirl before pouring plates
