This 250g bottle provides a high-quality formulation that, when prepared with Tween 80, supports the growth of microorganisms involved in antibiotic potency testing, making it a reliable tool for pharmaceutical and laboratory applications.
Key Features
Primary Use: Specifically formulated for the determination of antibiotic potency. Requires adding 1 vial of Tween 80 per 100ml of medium during preparation.
Formula (per liter): Contains Pancreatic Digest of Casein (17.0g), Papaic digest of Soyabean (3.0g), Sodium chloride (5.0g), Dibasic Potassium Phosphate (2.5g), Dextrose (2.5g), and Agar (12.0g), with a pH of 7.2±0.1 at 25°C.
Storage: Stable at room temperature with a 3-year shelf life, ensuring consistent performance over time.
Preparation Instructions
Measure 42.0g of the medium and add 1 vial (1ml Tween 80) per 100ml of distilled or deionized water (scale proportionally for 1L).
